We trailed cattle today. Gabe done real good. Cool when we started and never got real warm, but the calves and cows got hot and tired and we rested them twice and had a hard push the last couple miles to the pasture. running! Went to a branding yesterday over west about 40 miles. Then off to a funeral for my daughter in laws mother, today. No rain yet, but I am hoping… Bob and Sue (friends from Iowa) took off this morning pretty early. We had fun with them as usual. But it looks like the wind is going to come up this afternoon and by midnight really be howling1 Supposed to be some rain with it too. Branding in the breaks
Nice day
Started out kind of cool and some wind but it slowly went down all day. By this evening when I rope up north to move some heifers it was almost calm. Real loverly evening. I took the spade and cut burdock off at the roots around the shed and corrals this morning. Made me sweat!Continue reading “Nice day”
