It was real nice this morning but then a south east wind picked up this afternoon and it’s really blowing now. I got the cows fed then truned the horses out and loaded Tank up and hauled him to the vet to get gelded. the vet was gone when I got there so I justContinue reading “Still March!”

Kite flying weather!
That ol’ wind picked up last night and with it came thunder and lightning. Started at least a couple fires in the area. One big one out on the gumbo. Sounded on the fire radio like thy had lots of trucks, but were having trouble getting to the fire. It’s rough country and summer rangeContinue reading “Kite flying weather!”
Cool and cloudy
Almost foggy this morning, but it burned off by late afternoon. The tire I had fixed on the pickup the other day was trying to go flat again, so after dinner I worked on my saddle a bit then drove it over to Punkin Center and they found another little hole. Sorry cheap tires! WhenContinue reading “Cool and cloudy”
Nicer
Jut a breeze this morning, in the mid 50’s when I went out. Harnessed horses, took dogs, fed cows, then disced the new garden with the team, then caught up Brody and did a session with him and then just mixed up a batch or tortilla’s I will cook up after bit. Whew! 😉 NowContinue reading “Nicer”
Yup, still March!
First day of spring I think. Usually we get a storm this time of the year, but so far all it is is more wind and cooler temps. We ran into Rapid yesterday after I got chores done. I have been getting a little nauseous and headaches, which I hardly ever get, so I suspectedContinue reading “Yup, still March!”
Still March!
It was real nice this morning, hardly a breeze but it made up for it this afternoon and it is supposed to stay like this for the next day or so, looks like. I had unexpected visitors yesterday afternoon. Jan W and some of her new neighbor/friends stopped in for a bit and then PaulContinue reading “Still March!”
Must be March
Kite flying weather….. Wind came out of the west, south west. I worked on the saddle this morning and went and fed after dinner. The blinds seemed to help when I hooked up Wren with Ron, later. But still allow her to see too much, so I will tighten them up, closer to her headContinue reading “Must be March”
Another day with Wren
After I got the chorse done this morning I left the team harnessed. I went out after Cindy called and unharnessed Roz and turned her loose, caught up Wren and harnessed her with Roz’s harness. I had to take up some slack in the quarter straps and make the collar one size smaller. Bridle fitContinue reading “Another day with Wren”

Windy
But fairly warm. Up to 60 by this afternoon. The boys fed cows with me and the team and we almost lost our hats a couple times. Got quite a bit of carving done on the saddle today. Here’s the latest up date on Brody from Horse Training 2. Ol’ Brode is one broncy, coldContinue reading “Windy”
