Dirt work
Took the tractor and loader and went up and drug a washed out ol’ culvert up out of the creek and moved it to the plum crossing and put it there. Probably still wash out,m but it’s in pretty shallow and I made the crossing a lot better. For now! Then I ate an earlyContinue reading “Dirt work”
Last ride
For awhile anyway. Boys head home tomorrow so this evening we went out and they rode around and around in the corral. They swapped horses, Gabe rode Squirt and Lige rode Beaver. Both got along fine and Gabe even managed a sidepass, with a little help from Grampa. We took the tractor up north andContinue reading “Last ride”
Cowpokes

Stackin’ hay
I gave Gabe the camera while I pitched off the last load, this morning. This is a few of the 60 some pictures he took.
Because Ken whined!
If it ain’t one thing….

So we hurried home and then this morning after we went and fixed some fence and set gates so we could move the heifers to fresh grass, we took the pickup tire off and hauled it overContinue reading “If it ain’t one thing….”
Puttin’ up hay the old way, with helpers
That’s what we been doin’. My helpers are pretty good at stompin’ the hay if you don’t work them too long. Mostly, they want to RIDE, since I have gotten ’em horseback. Dang cowboys!
