We took of Saturday afternoon and drove to Valentine where we spent the night, with Tate and Kass and kids all in one room. Night before last we got an inch to an inch and a half of rain. Cool and over cast yesterday and today. Wonderful weather. Praise the Lord! Rode and doctored some yearlings this morning. Had friends and family out last night. Tate and Kass and kids are still here…
Hot and dry and windy
Wasn’t bad this morning. Kenny came down and brought his chute and put ciders in the heifers. Went well. Rode north afterwards and checked gates and set ii for the horses to go north east. Got the horses in, caught Beaver and rode down to doctor some sore footed yearlings. Roped 6 to doctor but screwed up and caught a couple more by accident as I was roping those, so had to get the ropes off them. No big deal, but took a bit.
