12/23/10

Brrr. Got some freezing rain last night and into this morning, so Cindy didn’t go to work. Sounds like there were lots of cars off the road. Even the sander truck went off the road according to a story I read. So we haven’t been to town to see that new baby yet and GrannyContinue reading “12/23/10”

12/21/10

Winter Solstice. first day of winter, on the calender, but we figure winter has been here for a month at least. Shortest amount of daylight for the year.  It’s about 4:30 as I type this and almost dark. If it wasn’t for the full moon rising, it would be dark, I think. From now on,Continue reading “12/21/10”

Monday 12/20/10

Got some 3x3x8 bales in the other day so I have been devising a way to feed them. I stood them on end, leaned against some other bales, all lined up. Then I back my low boy wagon up to them and push one on from the back end. I put a piece of StrongbarnContinue reading “Monday 12/20/10”

Wed 12/15/10

After I got done with the chores this morning, I ran down south of Enning and looked at some hay. Some 3x4x8 bales. I think I will get a few and see if I can feed them handily with my team. If so, I will get a load or two. Price is right. This afternoonContinue reading “Wed 12/15/10”

Don’t suppose I will get to write that header again in my life! Just a wee bit brisk this morning! Had a regular blizzard last night. 12-9-10

Real nice weather. Kind of a chinook blowing. Got up over 40 today. I went down to the Baptist Church at Punkin Center a little after 12 and played and sang Christmas Hymns. Read a couple winter poems for them. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. They do this once a month and it’s mainly theContinue reading “12-9-10”

December 7, 10

Pearl Harbor day. Good time to remember we are never completely safe. And take actions to be prepared. Kind of like the Advent song we have been singing, “Prepare Ye the Way”. Such a gorgeous day out there that even Gramma went with me to feed and chore this morning. She claim’s I only marriedContinue reading “December 7, 10”
