Man, the wind blew today. Ain’t supposed to go down until tomorrow evening. Maybe it was from all the hot air getting blown around during the debates last night! Worked on leather this morning and then ran down to Punkin center, paid a fuel bill and got a couple tires for the pickup. Picked upContinue reading “WIN….DYYYY!”

Warm
Got up over 70 today. Neighbor lady, Tonya, brought over some small cheap saddlebags she had bought that had got torn apart and we got them all sewed back together. Then this afternoon Cindy helped me and we wormed all the older and thinner horses. I kept Pip and Jake in and will worm themContinue reading “Warm”
Songs/stories Wet Sortin’
Well, here we are to the last one. This is all totally true….. 🙂 ‘Cept for the parts Ken made up to add some punch. Ken Cook got cheated on the credits of this one, as I overlooked adding him to the credits when we printed off the packaging. Sorry Ken! I had written itContinue reading “Songs/stories Wet Sortin’”
Cattle
Drove around with Cindy this afternoon, shutting water off down south and then drove up and looked at the cattle and took a few shots. The wind finally quite blowing so hard and it was almost 70 and real nice out…only way it would have been better if it was pouring down rain! 🙂
Stories/songs-Spring Dance

Story behind the songs- Cowhand and Revel
You get a twofer on this one. Both if these are made from poems a friend of mine wrote. Ken Cook, a good feller and a whale of a poet and performer.. About 5 or 6 years ago, Ken called one day and had a new poem he wanted to try out on me. WeContinue reading “Story behind the songs- Cowhand and Revel”
Story behind the song- Loveswar
Ernest Loveswar was a breed. Part Native American and the rest white. Said to be very handsome and from the few pictures I’ve seen, I can see why. He and a fellow named Ostrander were both courting the same woman. Evidently Ostrander won out or Loveswar was tired of the competition, so Loveswar rode upContinue reading “Story behind the song- Loveswar”
Story behind the song…
After visiting with a very sharp lady, she told me I was remiss in not publishing the stories behind the songs on my new CD. I asked and people said they would like to know them, so I am going to start posting these stories on here. One song and story per day. Coy ThisContinue reading “Story behind the song…”
