Got ’em….

Me and Beaver and Buck and Bob went and moved yearlings this morning. roped and doctored 3. Bob and Buck didn’t help much at that job but did stay the hell out of the way. and then they did help to get them back up after I was done. The way I rope, they are pretty tired by the time I catch them and tie them down, so they are not real quick to jump to their feet! 🙂

But moving the cattle, Bob and Buck sure paid for a lot of dog food!

My shoulder is so sore from some tendinitis ( that I am trying to get the doctor to call in a prescription for me so Cindy can pick it up) that I can barely think straight. Sure didn’t help the roping any, tho’ it is in the left shoulder. Hey! I need an excuse, okay!!!!!!

LOL

😉

Cool partially cloudy day with the wind picking up. Got about a half inch of rain last night! Praise the Lord!

    1. Thanks! Went to the doc and got some pills. Unless I tore something, it should be fine in a day or so…

  1. Good help is hard to find, so you take what you can get 🙂 Glad the rain has come your way! Sure hope the arm feels better, I have a tore rotater cuff and it sure is a pain in the arse to do things.

    1. Are you going to go get the surgery? Quite a few of these older ranchers around here have as it screws up there ropin’ and they live to rope! At least in the spring at calving and branding time…

  2. I have a bad rotor cuff..and a bursa that was all cranky and really sore. The Doc gave me a cortisone shot and I went to physical therapy for about six weeks…I escaped surgery..but I baby that arm..no carrying around five gallon pails with that arm anymore. I don’t sleep on that side either. I did the exercises for months..and so hope the pain doesn’t come back…so far so good. When it was real bad I couldn’t brush my hair or do anything above my head with that arm..like reaching in a cupboard.
You best see if you can get a shot..it didn’t hurt too bad..:)

  3. Yeah, I used to get those shots also. Then I found out how to manipulate the muscle/tendon so it would quit hurting. ?When I can’t do that I just get some pills that work like the shots do…
