Bovines

Helped DRIVE some yesterday. Then we went up to Brad and Bec’s for a 1 year birthday party for Coy. Me and Justin allowed Dean and Del to kick our butts at horse shoes. Man, Dean really got dialed in and they smacked us. 21-11 final score. It was fun, but I think I ought to play horse shoes more than once a year! Here’s a picture I took from yesterday. See if you can tell me what is wrong with this picture. I will answer tomorrow.

Chance called yesterday evening. They branded some more calves and he rode Peaches and drug calves and helped stretch out a couple big fall calves. He said Peaches can really pull from the horn. Cool.

    1. Could be my bad eyesight, but it looks like there are a couple that are a little bit too big for the ones around it?

  1. Considerate of you to let them win at horseshoes….
Red calf, and a whole lot more calves than cows is the only things odd I see in the photo.

  2. I didn’t see any bulls – which isn’t a big deal, but it did seem like you’ve got a lot more calves than cows there – if that is even anything wrong. Kinda seems odd – unless the cows have been having twins and triplets this year.

    1. Looks like a bunch of cows knew the route to the new pasture so took off and left their calves behind. Maybe the calves ran back and are a little sweaty and staggery from being DRIVEN back.

    2. Bein a dumb city girl I would have to go w/ Lisa and say the guy or gal horseback is to far ahead.. They’ll end up turnin them back.. Unless the lil thing up head is they’re stopin point…
Does it matter that some of the tags are in the left ear and some are in the right ear… N it looks like some of em don’t have any tag.. Could just be playin a trick on my eyes.. I’m sure.. šŸ˜€
K I give up.. I dunno what it is.. Can’t wait to read it though… šŸ˜‰
