Spring is the season of life, but it is also the season of death..not all that are born make it…but the majority do.
While feeding with the tractor this evening, Jack, Chances dog, ran under the front wheel of the tractor. I hauled him to the kennel, hoping maybe he’d be alright… he wasn’t.. so in order that he not suffer I put him down.. and buried him…
Just a dog, some might say… not even my dog.. but he may as well have been. I hate suffering in others. I hate having to put animals down, but I know it is kinder than to let them suffer….
So now, I suffer…..
In a small way, it reminds me of how Jesus and his Mother and Father must have felt…..
So sorry, it is always hard when we lose what is loved whether it belongs to us or to some we love.
Damn.
So sorry, Bob.
So sorry but you did the right thing in not letting him suffer.
Sor sorry, our daughter and son-in-law had to put their dog down day before yesterday, too. Sad time for families.
Tough to hear. We’ve got a 10 year old sheltie and he is starting to wear out pretty quick. Tough decision on when it is time.
Aw, no, that is so sad. I am s so sorry for what you all must be feeling.
Sorry for your loss. It reminds me to not take things for granted but to appreciate all we’ve been given from creator God.
So sorry for you all. It always tugs at the heart having to put one down, but it was the right choice.
that’s a tough deal……………real sorry man……………..
With joy, comes sorrow…………..
It is so hard when they suffer, but it feels not much easier when you have to be humane to put them out of their suffering 😦
Thank you all….
Oh Robert, I hate this part of life. So sorry and know how hard this is for you and the rest. Prayers that the act of kindness is understood and one of life’s hardest lessons is understood. This can be one of the most important lessons of life that can taught. Hard as it is. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Gotta do what is best for the animal..I bet the kids were sad. It is hard to understand when you are little…or even big:)
