Over two inches in the flat bottomed pan setting on the step. Over 4 in the rain gauge. Lying rain gauge! Water up to my lower knees in the basement when I plugged in the sump pump a few minutes ago. Branding called off for today. I wonder why? 😉

We had a shower the night before last…..we needed it. Sorry to hear about the wet basement…..I DON’T envy that or the cook at the branding that was called off.
We finally got some rain last night – a large part was of the solid white variety. It remains to be seen if there was anything in the heads to knock out in the first place. At least our pastures got a sip along with the ground for fall crops and summer fallow.
Uggh. Sump pump. ‘Nuff said.

Nope! I’ve done it a lot. I wear rubber boots or waders. 😉
