Read this now!

All of it!

Ah, to have men like that again!

Oh, and report back to me and let me know what you think of it. One of the greatest things I have ever read!

We had rain last night and it’s been damp and cloudy all day. I went to Faith and watched a bunch of horse people ride around in the rain and mud. Interesting! πŸ™‚

Oh, it was cool enough, I wore my long handles. And was real glad! πŸ™‚ LOL

Now, go read!

  1. I don’t think the point could’ve been made any more succinctly than that. How far we have fallen as a government and society.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Brilliant. It’s just what I have been unsuccessfully been trying to put over. I have done a blog on this, today, and re-produced the full item on my second blog. (My ‘ranting’ blog!!!)

  3. What a great story! If all our leaders and citizens could be so clearly principled.
As a moderate who constantly struggles with the question of who I am, I strongly believe in the basic point of independent self-government. But darn it, the last point in Crocket’s story was that those who can and should, don’t take up the cause – that’s the one that pushes me away from right. Those kind of folks take advantage of the rest of us when we allow them complete free rein.
I’m sorry but governing by the far right wasn’t getting it done, darn it!

  4. LAT, your right and I am disgusted with them also.We need to throw them all out and start fresh. And some way keep thel obbyest, who are really running the show, from doing so. Any suggestions?

But in the story, you can’t blame it all on the right. There was no mention of which side they were on. Just that they were wealthy. Do you think only people on the right are wealthy? I can name quite a few on the other side who are just as wealthy.

We need to quite pleading our case for either side and do what is right for ALL of us. I think it’s time for the Independent voters to reign. How about you?

    1. Sure, there are rich folks on all sides. Some are even my friends. Its just when those in power (right) used right philosophies to favor a certain group of rich folks that I get upset.
Rich folks on the left, on the other hand, sometimes lean toward taking away my rights (is there a pun hiding here?) as well as taking away the incentive for folks to be responsible and take care of oneself. Result: people sitting and waiting to be rescued.
Independent voters…. YES! It is unfortunate that our two-party system seems to not give the middle of the road guy a fighting chance, however. We are almost forced to pick one pole or the other.
      But we can keep trying!

  5. Ya know folks…one thing I remember about Our country when it was in it’s infancy. In the Real History Books, not the abridged and made up versions, the person got elected. If you look in some of the older books, that haven’t been burned yet, way, way, way back where dust is made. You’ll see it mentions the man and later on it make a reference to the party they may or not be affiliated with.
Maybe we should just elect the person…not the party. That’s the way I do it. I have not voted a straight ticket as to yet, take the fun out of it and make you think about who you choose. GREAT read Mr. Dennis, Thanks for posting!!!
