As we have done ever since this country declared independence, we swear in a new president today. No coup, no bloodshed (I hope!) just one person stepping down and another stepping up, at the will of the people. (I hope!)
He was not my choice and I fear what might happen to this country, because of the mood and why people voted for him. Og, from Neanderpundint, summed it up nicely in his blog, which I quote here.
“Most of all, I hope America wakes up to what they’ve done, and don’t do it again. We need a president who becomes president because of the content of his character, and not the color of his skin- which is what we have now.”
Amen Og, I feel the same.

Heard an interesting comment on the TV, afore all the hoopla began. A planner of the party referred to the pomp and circumstance as the –
“Obama-Rama”
Kinda sums it up I think.
But the next person who tells me he is an “African-American” iz gonna git a sock in the nose!! He HAD better be an “AMERICAN”,otherwise he couldn’t be President!! “African-American” tells me he was a citizen of Africa before he became American. Gotta be Natural Born to qualify for President, an that’s about all the qualifications he’s got.
