I’m tired

Worked in the shop most of the afternoon and into the evening. Had a young man come over to work on his chaps. Supposed to be another one coming tonight, but I am about ready to give up on him. Why is it they want to work all day and then want me to workContinue reading “I’m tired”

Easter

We had a nice crowd for Mass this morning. Church was almost full. That was a nice change. Tyler had been up helping at Spearfish and Belle Fourche and Cindy had to work, so it was just me and Tate, Kass and the boys from here. We had dinner when Cindy got home. Then GabeContinue reading “Easter”

Another one

Nice day that is. Got a little windy but it was up in the 40’s. We need snow or rain. Worked in the leather shop today more than lately. If I keep this up, I might almost get caught up!     Tate, Kass and kids came home tonight for the weekend. We has grandkids in the house!Continue reading “Another one”

Yaawwwnnnn!

Went up to Spearfish yesterday and did Jim Thompson’s radio show and then did the Heritage of the American West show, last night. Paul Larsen was the other entertainer. They told us we had a good show. I enjoyed it. Took Tyler and Hubba along. Had a great time and looked at some guitars andContinue reading “Yaawwwnnnn!”

Another nice day. Tyler is home and went with me to feed with the team up west. Then I worked with my stallion, Mijo. Brad sent him home for a few weeks as they are busy calving and he doesn’t have the time to work with him. I messed around and finally got on himContinue reading “3/18/08”

Gus’s birthday

Little guy turned 1 year old today we braved the snowy roads and went down south about 100 miles. Had a nice afternoon. Stopped and fueled up on the way home and got 18 mpg. Not to bad for a 3/4 ton Dodge cummins. The snow was pretty much gone by the time we gotContinue reading “Gus’s birthday”

Tax man

Went to Rapid and did them today. Didn’t turn out too bad which means I had a bad year. I kind of already knew that. When I fueled up on the way home diesel cost 3.96 a gallon, cash.  Woohoo! Yeah, lets not make any more refineries. Or drill for any more oil. Yeah right.Continue reading “Tax man”

85 %

That’s about where I am today. Not quite to the top of my game, but much better. Even hooked the team up and fed hay with them. WooHoo. Watch out liberals! 🙂

Here’s another

Another friend posted this and gave me permission to use it. I especially like the first one! The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else isContinue reading “Here’s another”
