I ran into town yesterday. Needed to get some odds and ends and a bird license so I can go pheasant hunting on Sunday. Been trying to get to this hut for the past two years and looks like the weather is going to hold for it this time. Never been. Fr Tyler has be come an addict. He’s been off hunting them every free day he’s had since the opening. He really enjoys it. I had lunch with him yesterday and he was giving me pointers on cooking the birds.
I needed to get my camera and printer fixed. Took them to the respective shops and it is cheaper to buy a new camera than fix this one. Typical. The printer? They don’t fix them. Buy a new one. Amazing.
Went to get a counter top for the bar but they didn’t have anything that would work so I bought some smooth planks I will make one out of.
Weather is still wonderful. Supposed to be nice thru’ the weekend anyway.
Deer season starts next weekend.

Ooo I like recipes…though we don’t get much pheasant here in the city. Oh, you said you put your pics on Facebook, did you friend me on there? See, I can’t keep up with nothing. Also because I can’t get into FB at work, I spend limited time there, so I don’t know what’s going on.

That’s what I did. Made my own bar top.
I cut a couple hundred 1/4″ slices off 2×4’s and glued them to planks so the end-grain is the top. Then put that 2-part clear stuff over the whole thing. It turned out nice.

Hell Dave, that is too fancy. I am just gonna screw these three 2×8 on top. Easy peasy. Wife sez she is getting new counter tops in the near future (evidently when she takes a second job or wins the lottery cuz we can’t afford it now) any way)
