Got up over 40 today. Maybe even close to 50. Lots of squishy ishy out there now children!
I fed a bale to the cows with the tractor and moved some snow around before the cold weather comes back. Man, there is going to be some fence to fix this spring. Better get my little spring wagon rigged up for my team.
Built a set of taps for a feller today. Here’s a picture.

It has been up in the 40’s here also, and the snow is melting good, but still have a lot of snow to melt yet, I can’t wait for it to go, but yet I don’t know how much of the mudd season I am ready for either. I guess I would rather have the mudd than snow at this point because that means the good stuff is on its way. We have have pasture fences that will defiantly need fixing and plus some that need to be moved and put up to make more pastures for the animals. Take care, JB.
I made a set of those bulldog taps but mine a a little different. We’ve got most of our run and there’s not even much ice left around to skid on although you still need a sharp shod horse in the mornings.
We were thinking about getting some fencing done a couple of weeks ago. Glad we didn’t as all that snow we got would have probably torn it right back down…..soon though…I hope.
Jinglebob its snowing like the devil here on Pass Creek right now. We had rain then snow then rain again and now snow, makes for some interesting ice on the power lines and anything left outside. This was also the sixth day that Pass Creek has been out of its banks so I would guess spring is on its way. Does that team do better in the mud then a tractor? Send snorkels! And an ark! Send them COD.
Yeah, they don’t fall in as bad or as deep as a tractor Bill. Snorkel? What the heck is that? 😉 You don’t need no stinkin’ ark. A kayak maybe.
