Fog

Had fog and drizzle this morning, rain slightly this afternoon. Brad came over this afternoon on his way home. We visited and ended up out in the shed while he worked with the weaning colt. He coached on me and I worked with him a little also. Freshened up my mind and made me aware of a few holes in my training program on these fresh youngsters. Thanks Brad. Now I will have to make an effort to work with the two fillies. One is going to a nice neighbor girl so I need to get a good start on her. These babies are so impressionable and what we do now makes such a difference down the road, I think.

Ordered some leather from Sheridan Leather Outfitters yesterday afternoon. It came in today in the afternoon. This always boggles my mind that they can get it here so fast. 20 bucks freight on a side of light skirting and a wool bark skin. Dang, I may have to raise my saddle prices.

Going to help the neighbors ship in the morning. Supposed to have some snow and rain. Guess I better wear my angora chaps!

  1. It seems to rain a lot around here also, they are calling for rain again this week and friday into saturday! Angora huh, I will have to see those! Take care! Stay dry he,he!

  2. Lisa, I ended up wearing the chinks made with Scottish Highlander hide. It doesn’t collect the mud so easy and when dry it just dusts off. I will try and find a picture of the angora’s and post them. Really warm. Except at the crotch, of course. Good think I am, hot blooded! LOL
