Blizzard!

Started with rain Sunday evening. By Monday morning the rain was still going and switching to sleet and he even had some hail! Almost dime sized, it looked like. I got everything fed good behind protection on Monday morning. Now as I write this on Tuesday, we set and watch the drifts pile up and hope all the stock is doing well. As the wind dies down this afternoon/evening, I will attempt to get out and get feed to all the stock. One thing about bovines, they have 4 stomaches, so they eat and then burp the cud back up and chew on it again, so they can go without for quite awhile as long as they had a good belly full to begin with. Mine did. The horses don’t work that way, but they also had full bellies. The are across the yard behind trees, almost as good as if in a shed, with their tails to the wind. Worst part is that they were all wet from the rain at the beginning. But by now they probably have got all that dried off. Here’s some pictures from yesterday evening and one from this morning.
