Oh boy!

Last summer, an evil person who works with Cindy sent a female cat home with her. She was about half grown and Cindy named her Daisy, seeing as our male cat is named Cooter. (he came with the name)

Daisy is quite the mouser and has laid several dead mice at our feet, so to speak, so I have put up with her evil, sharp clawed ways. But Daisy went outside visiting and soon became an unwed, pregnant, soon to be mother. Guess what?!

Yup about 3 a.m. this morning, we weer wakened to the sound of a kitten mewing. When we turned on the lights, here was Daisy, in our bed, having kittens. I am  a relatively patient man when it comes to animals, as is Cindy, but a cat having kittens in our bed is not something we think of as fun and exciting!

Cindy promptly got a towel and removed the kitten and then came back for the cat, who had already had another. Cindy moved them to a more appropriate spot. I took the blankets off and changed them and started the blanket washing process. What a fun thing to do at 3 in the morning! (government time, seeing as we just changed the clocks last night, so it was really 2 a.m. !)

As of now, the cat and however many kittens she had, are somewhere hidden in the stuff in my leather shop. I hope she doesn’t ruin any expensive leather!

And Tyler, I know you are chortling and laughing as you read this. Say some prayers young man, say some prayers!

  1. That’s a good one. Sorry, but I’ll be laughing all day over that one. When I was a kid, my dad would always say, “go get a boot”. Funny how stories like that stimulates memories. Have a good one.
