The Mrs. told me a while ago, that she occasionally looks at and reads this blog. She mentioned that if she was a regular reader she wouldn’t be interested in my veiw on politics.
I guess I didn’t realize I was giving my view on politics, but on things I like and dislike.
So I ask you, ever faithful readers, do you want me to just keep this going as a personal diary/journal and leave off any political comments, or keep going as I have been?
Please let me know.
If everyone is tired of my political viewpoint, I may just make a separate category and post all that stuff under there.

I like your personal stuff better, Jinglebob — but mostly because I like hearing *your* voice. You post links to other people’s political and public policy stuff, and that’s fine, but hearing you agree or disagree or expand on it would be better.
Of course, that all takes time and energy. My blog this summer is little more than a daily diary, and I’m thinking that gets boring, too — but I feel like I’m too busy to do any serious blogging.
Gotta be a mix, I guess, and let our own voices come through, whatever we post. That my two cents …

I do check in to your blog on a semi-regular basis and I have to agree with Cindy. I think you are preaching to the choir on a lot of these issues. Bring back the Robert that is funny, irreverant (at times), and full of you know what – put your “politics” in a separate category for those that do need a daily fix of our messed up world and economy.

Your blog is YOUR blog. You can post or write, however you choose. I post a lot of stuff I didn’t write, simply because it’s interesting, funny, odd, or makes me hoppin’ mad. I enjoy stopping by to see how things are going on the ranch, but you are astute and thoughtful in the links you put up, and entertaining when you talk about life on the ranch. Maybe all that time in the saddle gives you lots of space for thinkin’, huh? You do it YOUR way, and we’ll keep reading.
I ditto and ditto the Thorp comments. I have always enjoyed listening to you and your words of wisdom. Or are they morsels?? I am not a huge fan of politics but I agree I can skip that part if I am not interested. I will keep reading whatever you decide to do, but I think blogs are a personal thing and folks can do whatever. Sort of like a public diary of sorts…

I like the politics! I don’t generally comment. But heck viewpoints on politics is part of what makes people them. And knowing where people stand on all things going on in the world can makes us sit up and think a bit more and go hey that guy has a point or hey I didn’t think of that. So keep ’em coming!
