Global cooling?

I’ve been waiting to read something like this. I don’t think most people who are for global warming are aware of the real agenda behind it. Putting money in a few corporations and peoples pockets. Better go read this.

  1. Sure enough, we don’t know what we don’t know — and it *does* make you wonder who’s cashing in on global warming, or how these really smart guys with lots of data missed what was “right in front of them.”

On the flip side, who’s funding the counter-attack? Big Oil? Russia’s trying to build its oil industry and regain super-power status — coincidence that the “drop in the bucket” guy is Russian?

The reporter’s last line shows some balance — I like that!

  2. This is going to seem unrelated, but what the hey:

I had a discussion with a very Catholic friend of mine the other day regarding religion, and if I thought it were possible that species of “cave men” who came before us were “human” in terms of their intellect, emotions, understanding, self-awareness — as fossil and archaeological evidence suggests — because if another species could be conceived of as having a soul, wouldn’t that throw our theology into a tailspin?

My response? Yeah, I think it’s possible that earlier “species” could have been “people” — and that the problem that causes isn’t necessarily a problem with our concept of God, but could be a problem with our concept of “people” or “species” or “soul” for that matter.

We’ve defined (and refined and redefined) a tight box that seems to fit what we can observe, but the Truth might not fit in that box.

Our understanding is so very limited … so all our actions are only partially informed, and our history seems like one misunderstanding after another.

P.S. Somebody’s gonna make a killing no matter what happens, and it’s pretty safe to say it won’t be us … : )
