No brandings today to go to. Got some pairs in for summer pasture. One more load to go. Built some fence in the yard so I can graze part of it with the horses. Got brandings the next two days. Here’s some photo’s from the branding on Tuesday morning. I’ll post some from the afternoon and Wednesday’s fun tomorrow.

Went to a branding at a neighbors yesterday morning and then right after lunch I took off to help my nephew and they guy he is working for, move some cattle up north of Belle Fourche. I’d never ridden in that country so it was fun. Spent the night then we branded two bunches at that ranch this morning. Sat up too late visiting last night so I am tired. Pictures to follow.

Yup. Branding. Went well. chance went with me. When we got home we banded two yearling bulls. I took some pictures to show you how you can rope the hind feet, get close and tie off to the saddle horn so you can work on a critter and they can’t get away. Chance is setting on the front, but he wouldn’t have to.

Another day, another branding.

Rain and snow, yes, I said snow, on May 12th. This is South Dakota after all. Anything is possible. Especially, weather wise.

Had some heifers push thru’ a fence so I fixed fence then rode and used the dogs to help me get them back where they belong. Here’s some photo’s from my day.
