Looks pretty nice out there this morning. Wind blew this weekend and tho’ it wasn’t too cold, it seemed like it. Got a few flurries yesterday, but nothing stuck.
Chance and Hope and kids arrived Saturday evening. Hope has some appointments this week. Chance headed back yesterday after we ate lunch. I rode with Hope to Rapid where she spent the evening so she could get to early appointments this morning, and met Cindy. We were to meet a man about a used TV, but when we got there, found it was too big and heavy to fit where we wanted it. So we went and looked at new ones. but didn’t find any she or I wanted. So we bought some groceries and headed home. Oh, we stopped at the book store so we have some new reading material. Won’t get much out of either of us until we get them read. π
I have to drive her and herΒ mother around to some doctor appointments this afternoon and ship the pasture cows out, tomorrow. Sounds like we got some snow and wind coming in. Wonderful. π¦
Books are way better than TV anyhow. lol
Yes, they are!
You pick up “These were the Vaqueros” yet? I think you would like it although you might take exception to the Chiefs assertion that the best horse and stock men came from California. π
SNOW! Just the talk of snow here closes the state down. Everything closes, including work, so I like snow talk.
Where are you at Laura. We kind of thrive on cold and snow. Keeps the wussies weeded out! π
South Carolina aka Humid Hell.
No Mike, I haven’t. I have read several about them Californio’s and yes, I think there were some damn fine hands but there are always good horses and good hands everywhere, tho’ maybe not as many as other places. I am almost sick and tired of the Californio crap anyway! π
I suppose it’s an expensive book anyway.
I have to agree with threecollie, books are way much better, even though I do like the TV once in a while!
Hope the chilly weather holds off till you get your cows shipped. Then it can howl all it wants while you curl up with your book! I’ve got some good reading, all 4 volumes of City of God that some kind soul donated to our parish library.
