Look what I found

I was out fixing on tanks, fixing fence, shutting gates and such and so forth. I seen this.

Pronghorn, Antelope, Speed Goat, Goat or Antigoat, what ever you want to call them. Pretty and fast. these two will be able to run with Mom in just a few days. Their first instinct when I drove up was to drop low in the grass and not wiggle. Never seen one this new before. She hadn’t even finished licking the second one off.

  1. That is so incredibly cool! Once upon a time my old MIke dog showed me a pair of new white tailed deer fawns…not that new..but maybe a couple of days. He stood on his hind feet looking down at them over the tall grass. Never touched them, just showed them to me then moved along. I would never have seen them otherwise. Thanks for showing us these.

  2. A rare opportunity! I was out riding up the Elk Valley years ago and came across a newborn elk that did the same thing- just lay in the tall grass, not moving. We beat it out of there so as not to disturb it or worry mama, who was nowhere to be seen but was probably watching us.

  3. I haven’t seen any new ones yet this year…….seems like they’re all eyes and have toothpicks for legs but can run amazingly fast on those little sticks.
