Or perhaps better put, rancher farming as to me the word cowboy describes what you do more than who you are. And I am a rancher. But I can cowboy. What ever! This was fun but I’d sure hate to do the work them ol’ timers used to do like this when they farmed. ButContinue reading “Cowboy farming!”

Great point made!
I just got this in an email and thought I should share it. Takes a few minutes to read, but worth your time. What are the rules? I was in my neighborhood restaurant this morning and was seated behind a group of jubilant individuals celebrating the successful passing of the recent health care bill. IContinue reading “Great point made!”
Photo’s
Here are some of late.
Spring
Has sprung. Been working with horses, leather and grandkids. Got some sour feedback from a young lady who didn’t approve of Chance and I’s way of handling the filly in the video. I am sure we could have done things different, but in the end, I think this was the best way to handle whatContinue reading “Spring”
Fillies
We been working with some fillies this morning. Got them wormed the other day. Here’s me and Punkin. Here’s a video of Chance saddling her, just before this picture was taken. http://www.flickr.com/photos/25209486@N03/4528484755/
Doc

Newest
Here’s pictures of the latest saddle. I am having a hard time getting a good picture showing the details.
April 13,10
Got news this morning that a young man from this area was killed last night. He was working under a vehicle and it fell and killed him. He was about 30. Our kids went to school with him and I have known his parents all my life. Damn, I hate when this happens.
Sale
I took 3 smaller steer calves into the sale yesterday and delivered Crackerjack to as young man who is going to work with him for awhile. Calves weighed a little over 450 and brought $1.26 a pound. Market looked pretty goods. Didn’t seem to matter what they had, except for a few horned ones, theyContinue reading “Sale”
Divorce
I don’t know if I have put this on here before, but if so, it’s worth reading again. I don’t like divorces, but sometimes I guess it’s just for the best. Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950’s for the sakeContinue reading “Divorce”
