Hope came up the other evening and she and Cindy put up the Christmas decorations. This time of year used to really get me down, but having grandkids around and moving a land payment to a different time of year has sure helped my mood!
Now, if I can just get people to quit worrying about giving presents ONLY at this time of year and instead giving them throughout the year when they see something people would like, then I think I could really be of good cheer! 🙂
It has gotten better with the kids. They are getting good about building things for us and each other. A piece of paper telling me they love me means a lot more than a silly gift that will not last long. Here’s some picture showing the decorations.

Children certainly do make a difference during the holidays. I have a tendency to get the doldrums too until I remind myself what Christmas represents.

I am with you..I like the simple thing..gifts from the heart are the ones that I remember the most. I wouldn’t participate except for the grands. Looks like you are all decorated and ready.. we got snow..surely that counts:)
