It was Liges second birthday on Saturday. Tate and Kass brought the boys out so we could spend the weekend with them and so Tate could get his deer. He got a doe and still needs to fill his other tag. Buck or doe.
Lige wanted to ride so I had gotten Patches and Crackerjack in and had rode Patches to make sure she hadn’t gone broncy on me. We put my Dad’s old Powder River form fitter on Patches and the grandkid saddle on Crackerjack. Gabe topped off Crackerjack and he was fine. Lige rode Patches at first then we swapped the boys around so Gabe could ride by himself. Both boys and colts did great.
About noon, Chance, Hope, Gus and I ran into the Hills to a cow sale. Chance and Hope got some nice, older red cows bought. Chance and I hauled them home yesterday. We are headed to another cow sale today.
The boys got a nice buck with the help of a neighbor who is a buddy to Chance.
Heres the birthday boy and some other pictures.

What a handsome kid! When are we getting together for deer steak 😉
Nice buck, beautiful little guys. I’ll bet they’re better cowboys than I will ever be.
