Saturday I went out to gather the horses and noticed that it sure was quiet outside. When you wean, quiet isn’t a good thing the next morning!
Somehow the calves had gotten the corral gate open and went back out with their mothers. So Chance got here and we got them all back in and split the cows from the calves again and pulled the opens off my lease cattle. I hauled them in to the sale. Chance had one cow we were not certain if she was bred or not so had them check her at the salebarn and sure as heck she was bred. Chance and Hope came to the sale later with the boys and then took the pickup and trailer and hauled the cow home. They drove Cindy’s car in so that I had it to pick up Cindy and Tyler.
Yesterday ,late afternoon, Casey, Cal and Paige came over and we roped on these calves. Had a good time. It was kind of windy, but got real nice towards sundown.
