4th branding

Chance took Jake to his first branding. He did pretty good for a big ol’ colt who ain’t been rode much.

I took Mijo. He handled it well. We sorted the calves at the gate and only slipped a few by. More my fault than his, I’m sure. He handled the roping and dragging like an old pro, except for having to walk thru’ the crowd. He didn’t like all them people on the ground around him. 🙂

Just as we finished a little cloud showed up and spit on us as we were trotting to the house. then it blew over. As we were eating another cloud came up and it rained pretty good for a bit. Made us glad to be under a roof!
